The symposium will begin at 8 am with registration and breakfast at 7:30 am and finish after lunch around 1:30 pm.
The Fall Symposium at UVA in Bryant Hall at Scott Stadium, will feature:
Dr. Travis Gannon, Facts about Round-up (glyphosate) and pesticide fate
Josh McPherson, Motivation and how to use social media to your benefit
Brian Winka, 'Bluemuda' a 2-grass system
Round-table discussion
Lunch and Annual VSTMA Business Meeting including ELECTIONS
We hope to see you at this event, consider bringing your co-workers and clients.
Though registration the day of the event is welcome, please register by November 29th to help us estimate numbers for the lunch .
This year is also an election year! Therefore, elections will be held during the Annual Meeting after symposium. There is an open Call for Nominations. The nominator and person being nominated must be members in good standing (dues are paid). You can nominate yourself. Positions are: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Information Officer, and the director categories: Professional, College/University, Public/Private Schools, Parks and Recreation, Commercial, Education/Extension, Professional Recreation, and 2 At-Large posistions. Directions to the Symposium Event - Scott Stadium
From 64: Take exit 118B off of 64 and go NORTH onto 29/250. Take the first exit turning RIGHT onto FONTAINE Avenue(29 business). Turn left at the light onto Maury Road. Travel 1/3 of a mile and park in the stadium lots on the right.
Directions from 29 NORTH: Travel south on Emmet Street. Turn RIGHT onto STADIUM ROAD. Travel a quarter mile and turn RIGHT after the parking garage into the stadium lots.
Please park in the WEST LOT (look for someone to direct you) to avoid getting ticketed!
The symposium will take place on the third floor of Bryant Hall.
