Due to the Covid-19 pandemic we have had to cancel our annual Field Day event that was scheduled for May 19.  If you were planning to take the pesticide recertification course offered at Field Day we encourage you to take advantage of the Virginia Turfgrass Councils free Pesticide Recertification Webinar on April 28 and April 30.  For more information please visit the VTC website at  https://www.vaturf.org/  

In an effort to help fellow turf managers navigate the evolving challenges of this pandemic the VSTMA will be hosting a three part "Webinar Workshop" starting April 27. The three part series will consist of:
April 27, 8:00am - 9:00am: Using Plant Growth Regulators to Reduce Labor Costs and Increase Density - presented by Shawn Askew, Virginia Tech Associate Professor and Extension Specialist in Turfgrass Weed Science
May 4, 8:00am - 9:00am: Panel Discussion - Dealing with the Current Financial Reality and Budget Reduction Requests; Panelists include Jesse Pritchard, University of Virginia Sports Turf Manager; Matt Austin, James City County Parks & Grounds Superintendant; and Mike Goatley, Virginia Tech Professor and Extension Turfgrass Specialist
May 11, 8:00am - 9:00am: Skin Maintenance During the Pandemic - Presented by Tyler Morris, Virginia Tech Athletics Field Coordinator & Joey Elmore, Salem Red Sox Director of Field Operations
